Nassau City Opera Company and The Royal Bahamas Defence Force cordially invite you to attend the National Remembrance Day Concert featuring Verdi's Requiem. The Requiem was written 138 years ago and is being performed for the first time in the Islands of The Bahamas under the Distinguished Patronage of Their Excellencies The Governor-General, Sir Arthur Foulkes and Lady Foulkes.

In recognition of the many World Wars I & II Bahamian Heroes, the four Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Marines who tragically lost their lives when they were unjustly attacked by the Cubans off Ragged Island in 1980, all fallen RBDF marines and officers, policemen and women in the Royal Bahamas Police Force who lost their lives in the line of duty and service to our country; this performance is being done to honor and commemorate them for paying the ultimate sacrifice with their lives against tyranny.
